This is a little experiment i did in a bunch of days and part of a fun kinda joking music-cover contest for the web-community behind
Ondarock.it, an italian blog/page/webzine/wtf about music/cinema and which means a lot to me - I've been active part of that little big community since 2004.
It was really just a game to have fun with some web-friends.
This track is vaguely based on Fabrizio De Andre's La Guerra Di Piero - released in 1964.
FDE was/is one of the most famous italian chantoeur post IIWW and definitely an artist who gained respect among italians from all classes and ages.
La Guerra Di Piero (Piero's War) tells the story of this young soldier who is going to die on a winter field, shot by another soldier.
It's a delicate and simple ballad for voice and guitar, hence my attempt to change it and turn it upside-down completely.
I'm particolarmente happy of what came out, despite its flavour of inaccuracy and slackery.
